20 weeks & 3 GIRLS!!

YEAH!! So, I went to the high risk perinatologist for the first time yesterday and all went better than expected. We found out that we are on the PINK team all the way! Even though I was wanting at least one more boy, I am still happy with what we got. My mom & sister & hubby were all there with me. Now, me and the hubster are arguing over names!! All of the girls anatomy & measurements looked good. They all weighed 13 oz & are measuring about 9 inches a piece & right on with my dates. (yesterday I was 19 weeks 6 days) I also found out why I have been soo miserable here lately, it is cause they are all "stacked" on each other. Baby C is at the top (feels like under my diaphragm!) and she is breeched, Baby B is in the middle laying from my left to right, and Baby A is at the bottom, also breeched. So if you can imagine, they are like making a huge "t" up & down my belly. I am like "Can't you girls move from side to side or something, I have enough room!!" And for once, being a "big girl" (as the doc put it nicely) has it advantages for once because that means the babies will have more room to grow and possibly decreases my chances of preterm labor. I quit working as of this past Monday, but I am not on complete bedrest yet. So I just get to enjoy hanging out & doing nothing. But now I get to really start looking for nursery stuff etc. I go back & see my regular OB next Wednesday. Last week my cervix was good and all the vitals were good. But, I have only gained 2# throughout the whole pregnancy. Then, I go back to the high risk doc in a month. Here is a slide show of all of the sono pics of the babies. They were quiet some characters!! Baby B is going to be my "camera hog". She was doing all kinds of poses, where as Baby A & C wanted to be left alone!

As for my other munchkin, last week was a hell week for us. We had a post-op follow up appt with his ear doctor on Tuesday (the 17th) and both of his ears still had raging infections in them despite the post-op antibiotics & ear drops. Soooo, he changed us to another stronger antibiotic that was 3 times a day instead of once a day, and new ear drops that had an antibiotic in them. But, otherwise he was acting like he felt just fine. So he went to daycare that Tues, Wed & Thurs (because I was still working then) and on Thursday the daycare called me in the afternoon & told me he was running a 101 fever. I was thinking "WHAT??? Will we EVER get a break??" So, sure enough I go get him & he is running fever, called his pedi & told her everything about the ear situation & all the changes etc., & she asked me if he had been coughing, congested, runny nose etc. & I told her yes he had been for weeks despite the breathing treatments, but, he hadn't been running any fever. So she wanted to see him first thing Friday morning. We went in & she checked him and she said he just "smelled of infection" (I guess they have a certain smell???). So she gave him an antibiotic SHOT & we had to go get a chest x-ray & lab work done to rule out pneumonia. I drug my mom with me since I couldn't go in the x-ray room with him & then she went in with him for his lab draw while I sat outside & listened to him scream & cry & I cried. We went home & the doc called me that afternoon & she said everything looked fine, he just had bronchiolitis & we would manage it at home with his other antibiotics for his ears, & breathing treatments. By Sunday, he was a whole brand new kid. You could tell a world of difference in him!! I was so happy he FINALLY was starting to feel better. We went back to his ear doc on Wed. of this week & is finally clear of ear infections & passed his hearing test! YEAH! What a relief!! And, he is finally back to his normal bed time ritual & getting over the anxiety @ bedtime. He is just really clingy to me whenever I am around, which surprises me because he has been a daddy's boy here lately. But, everyone says it's because he knows I am pregnant. So, that has been my crazy 2 weeks! Now that I have gabbed for ever, you should be up to date!!

Until next time,

Take Care!!
